"Sex Type Thing" is a song by Stone Temple Pilots which is sung from a rapist's point of view, trying to justify his actions. (Thanks, Anthony - Arab, AL)

This was the first song The Stone Temple Pilots released as a single. Before they hit it big, the band's name was Shirley Temple's Pussy. They probably wouldn't have been as successful if they had kept it.

This bears a strong resemblance to the 1990 Danzig song Snakes of Christ, something Glenn Danzig has mentioned.

A "swing version" was released on the B-side of Stone Temple Pilots "Plush" single.
