Richard John Cyril Allen, Born: 1 November, 1963, is an English drummer, songwriter, and producer, when he joined Def Leppard when he was 15 years old, his former drummer, Frank Noon was replaced by current drummer Rick Allen.
On 14 March 1980, the band's album, On Through The Night, was released, Including, Rock Brigdade, Hello America, When The Walls Came Tumbling Down, And Overture.
On 1981, the band's second studio album, High 'N' Dry, was released, Incuding, Bringin' On The Heartbreak, High 'N' Dry (Saturday Night), Switch 625, And the rest.
On 1983, The year before Rick Allen's car accident on 31 December, 1984, Pyromania, is the band's third studio album, Including, Foolin', Rock Of Ages, Die Hard The Hunter, You Got Me Runnin, And Billy's Got A Gun.

On 31 Decemeber 1984, Rick Allen lost his left arm in a car accident in New Years Eve In 1984, When his Corvette just swerved off the road on the A57, the car crashed in a drystone wall, that took the arm of a body, he was heavily drinking after his party at a friends house when he was driving home with his girlfriend and parents to hold a weekly night.
Doctors told that they have to reconnect Rick's left arm, three months later, the arm became later infected and doctors decided they have to amputate it.
In November 1985, Rick gets a new drums, and a steel fresh guitar for his band, and he wants to re-join Def Leppard.

In 1987, the band's fourth studio album, Hysteria, was released in 1987, three years after his accident, Including, Women, Rocket, Animal, Love Bites, Pour Some Sugar On Me, Armageddon It, Gods Of War, Run Riot, Don't Shoot Shotgun, Hysteria, Excitable, & Love And Affection.In 1991, Steve Clark died as a result of drugs with his girlfriend.
