Brain Stew/Jaded is a song by Green Day.

Lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong wrote this about a time when he was suffering from insomnia (hence the album title). It was just after his wife had one of their first children, and the baby would keep him up. He used to stay up through the night and write songs like this and "Jaded." (thanks, Kati - Leeds, England)

This song makes an appearance in the special features of the DVD for Detroit Rock City. James Debello hums the song and says, "There should be a song like that." Edward Furlong replies, "Dude there already is." (thanks, Bertrand - Paris, France)
