So far I've only tested this on Rock Band Country Track Pack on PS2 using a PS1 Dualshock controller. This also works on the PS2 Dualshock 2 controller. Am unsure if this works on the other versions of the Rock Band games, but should work in a few others.
- 1 PlayStation 2
- 2 PlayStation 3
- 3 PlayStation 4
- 4 Wii-Mote
- 5 Xbox 360
- 6 Xbox One / Series X/S
Hold left on the d-pad until you are in a song. When pausing make sure left is held or you'll be booted to the main menu. When in the game you don't have to hold left while playing. You can still move up and down while holding left.(Hold) = Play as Guitar / Bass
= Strum Up / Move Up
= Strum Down / Move Down
To be tested, in theory should be the same as on P…
I was looking at the various behind the scenes videos that was included on the Xbox 360 release of Rock Band 1 and noticed a few things. Not everything has been captured but I got most of it. All videos are found in the videos folder within the disc. Think the same applies on the Wii port, unsure of the PS3 and PS2 versions though.
- The far left you can see an early version of the Fender guitar as it uses a blue color for the body that I've never seen on early guitars at the time. Also the strum bar is a bright red, again most likely just thrown together for finalization.
- Not sure if the drum set has any differences compared to the final, but looks pretty much the same as the first drum kits for this game
- Barely visible is red text seen at the…
As you may know the pages for the playable characters in Rock Band 2 and Rock Band 3 have whichever instruments they use in certain games listed. However, for the Rock Band 3 characters (The 15 new characters and the 4 Rock Band 2 carry-overs), we do not yet have the certain keyboards they use listed on their pages. Since I don't have Rock Band 3, I don't know the exact keyboards they use, nor do I know the names of some of the instruments they use. The ones that are already listed here are ones that were also in Rock Band 2. This also applies for other instruments such as guitars, basses, drums, and microphones. If any of you happen to know what keyboards the Rock Band 3 characters use, please add them to the pages (as well as whatever gu…
Currently the DLC footer just lists all of the DLC released so far by year at once. I noticed the more that comes out, the more laggy page loading with the DLC template in use will take. So I thought of splitting the DLC template by year starting from 2007 to current year. This will make it so only the DLC from that current year will appear, but will require going through every page that uses the DLC tag and updating it to be the proper year, and to split the existing DLC template to separate ones for each year. The highest current year on the template is 2018, and have not added the missing songs and years for this update. Also there are a ton of non existent pages on this template, so there's some work that needs to be done on that which…
We've decided to add a tag for personal content that is not yet in use in a proper article. This includes user blogs, comments, and user pages.
An example of a user video is on this blog post.

This was done in Clone Hero, but uses the same exact chart from Rock Band. I had to use Clone Hero as it supports dualshock mode which Rock Band doesn't, and I don't currently have access to Rock Band 2 Deluxe which supposedly adds dualshock mode to guitar, bass, and drums.

Now that the fanon characters' pages and fanon info are gone, they are going to STAY GONE from this wiki. All of the unplayable RB1/RB2 character pages and fan made characters were deleted for a reason: the NPCs have NO OFFICIAL NAMES and fan made characters do not appear in every copy of said games. Fanon info consists of, but not limited to, unofficial names, birth dates, hometowns, best friends, relationships, enemies, favorite things, etc. Spam content isn't allowed here either. Furthermore, this wiki doesn't allow any characters that are not Rock Band characters. Only Rock Band characters allowed here are ones with official names and certain guest musicians/bands. These include:
- American Phil
- Dora Sullivan
- Earl Stephens, Jr.
- Fritzi K…
The user ARichardL98 is now an admin on this wiki, making two active admins on this site.
Since removal of the fanon articles is going slow and a few people have been making some fanon edits, how would you think I'd fare as an admin? I have an abundance of time on my hands, and I regularly check back on this wiki (nearly every day, as a matter of fact). I would be able to delete all of the fanon character pages in a timely manner to improve this wiki and I can also be quick to catch anyone making fanon edits, recreating fanon pages, inserting spam in pages, and making spam comments. If I become an admin, the very first thing I'll do is delete all the pages of the fan-made Rock Band characters and non-Rock Band characters I can find and then delete all of the pages of the unplayable characters that lack official names. The commu…
The user by the name of VellaLaVella42 on Reddit has rebuilt the car from the intro to Rock Band, and plans to do a recreation of the game's intro for the music video. In the post he says he plans to film the video within the next few months, and is asking for music video connections to help there band make this. If you want to help the post says they are located in Hollywood, more info on the link below.
You can also find the band, known as "Vella la vella" below too!

Ever since I've started editing on this wiki I've noticed an issue with people creating tons of fanon character articles for ones who are not in any Rock Band game at all, and are all created by those article creators via the character creator. This has in fact gotten so bad that I've decided to add a new rule.
Anyone caught creating any fanon character that isn't on the official list of characters found here will get banned for a single day on the first offence. If that user is caught again creating fanon character articles they'll be banned for a month. This will repeat until you've been banned for a total of 5 months where you will be banned forever. If you were banned within 6 months before this rule was added then each ban will act as a month ban.
Hey everyone, due to the lack of active admins on this wiki, and those admins last being active on here for 5+ years I am wanting to become an admin and am wanting to know your thoughts on this. I've submitted an adoption request and they said my contributions were all good, but needed to make a post similar to this first. He also said that if no replies to this post are made in 7 days, or if everyone agrees he'll let me become admin.
I feel like I'm a good admin, and if you want to know some other wikis I'm an admin to get an idea, click on the following links to other wikis I'm an admin on. teh_supar_hackr (talk) 20:25, 13 August 2021 (UTC)

Perhaps the most famous creation by the Gregory Brothers' Autotune the News, "Bed Intruder" (featuring everyone's favourite singing badass Antoine Dodson), has officially come to Rock Band Network for $2. While it may not be the most difficult song out there, it's hard to deny the charm of joining in the autotuned dulcet tones of Mr. Dodson, proclaiming his intent to hunt down his sister's attempted rapist. They even charted the backup vocals!
For you Bassists, Keytarists and Pro Drummers, I've embedded a three-man band FC containing the Expert charts below. I've also included the original song, in case you're one of the five people who still haven't heard it yet.
